It was nice having clear objectives from the get-go since it gave more time for investigating and snooping, something this game really capitalises on. Such linear plot lines are rare in a Nancy Drew game and I must admit, I rather liked it particularly in the newer games, Nancy often has to ‘find’ the mystery which often means wasting a lot of time trying to continue find a way to trigger the story. It’s a fairly simplistic plot with very clear direction: Nancy must find Maya and/or find a way to stop the theatre’s destruction. When Maya goes missing, Nancy is told by an anonymous caller that, if she doesn’t stop the theatre’s destruction in three days’ time, Maya will go down with it. Generally ranked as one of the better Nancy Drew game, it focuses on the kidnapping of Nancy’s friend – Maya – at the Royal Palladium theatre. I finished this game last week and I’m still having some problems trying to describe my feelings about it.
